Working at Tarntana Company, we have to communicate and work with many people from many departments. Therefore, you should have a good communication skill and be optimism. Moreover, as we have to work in many fields including marketing, export-import, sales, and sometime accounting.  You should be passionate to learn new things and easily adapt in any kind of environment.

Experience Sharing

 

How lucky I am to get an opportunity to work as a marketing trainee at Tarntana Company. I have learned so much and gained a lot of experiences. One thing that really stands out about this cooperative education is that I am never treated as just an internship student. I’m encouraged to think and act likes the full-time marketers. Working in marketing department can open my views a lot about business and marketing. From the first step of creating and preparing product to match with customers need and wants, setting up the price, choosing distribution channel, promoting product, until making a successful sale.

 

Moreover, I also have the great opportunity to work with Export-Import department. I learned many valuable things, they taught me about receiving order from an international customer, ordering product from supplier in Thailand, receiving products, making invoice to customer and making a packing list for the shipment.  More than knowledge and skills of doing work, cooperative education taught me how to handle with uncomforted situation and work under pressure. Moreover, this is a very great opportunity to help me know myself, what kind of works I like and do not like.

 

Once I have started my cooperative education, I start to complete projects, tasks, or even create things for my company. After all of my hard work and hours devoted to the company, I would feel a great of pride when I see the result of my work even it’s just a small thing.

Project

 

“Developing Marketing Activities to Increase Sales Volume and Customer Awareness of Tarntana Company”.

 

I chose to focus on two marketing activities. The first activity is to increase product exposure at the point of sales. As Tarntana shelve are not stand out from both direct and indirect competitors according to the pattern of department store. It’s necessary to create displays or shelves of products in the best possible way to get buyer attention. To make Tarntana displays more attracting, pop-up sign were created to answer this question. Moreover, many products have failed in the market, not because of their quality or pricing, but because potential customers didn't know they were there, and if they did, they didn't know what they were or how to use them. Therefore, my second activity will focus on advertising. After doing all activities, Tarntana sales revenue is slightly increasing from the past.
