Experience Sharing

 

During my cooperative education at Modernform, I have participated in many projects and I have done many things that I have never expected to do before. I have supported a retail expansion project, monitored competitors’ movement, and gathered competitors’ performance records. In retail expansion project, I went to more than 10 places around Bangkok metropolitan area to survey a potential location to open new showroom and had to directly deal with landlord and real estate agency. At the beginning of that time, I have encountered several problems such as dealing with people and lack of Bangkok’s route knowledge. I have learnt that dealing business is not as easy as I thought because they would have to fight to get what they expect to get and it has to be a win-win situation. Along the way I have been supported and guided by my mentor and RBD team, I realize that teamwork is really important in real work life because almost works and project need support from either colleague in department or across department in order to achieve a goal. Apart from the teamwork that allow the company to succeed, study of your competitors and consumer is also very priority. In running business, understanding yourself is not enough; you have to understand your competitors and consumer as well as yours if you want to survive and become the leader in your industry.
